We face multiple threats in our lives; when at our “home base” and when we travel.  This educational session will be a consolidation of numerous bespoke security awareness trainings that outline how to reduce your risks in the areas of Crime, Travel (to include hotel and driving), Kidnap, and the overarching Terrorism environment.  This session represents the guiding best practices in the security industry, and is a consolidation of available guidance, delivered by a highly motivated and experienced presenter that backs each “WHAT”, by actual examples and experiences.  Attendees may already know general guidance on some, but not all, threat scenarios; and have been faced with some of the threats and scenarios discussed.  Attendees will be able to apply a more straightforward approach, i.e what to do or not do, to avoid all types of threats and scenarios.

About The Presenter:  John V. Philippi has dedicated his entire career to the physical security industry, having gained 18 years’ experience as an independent security consultant, followed by 13 years as a global corporate security practitioner.  John is a CPP, PSP, and holds a master’s in business and organizational security management from Webster University.  John has written and presented at over 30 events/periodicals, has served as an expert witness, and has appeared on FOX news.  John has also contributed his years of experience in the volunteer arena, as a “big brother”, President of school booster club and coach of Odyssey of the Mind, pro bono security consultant, career consultant, and is the current Chair of the Philadelphia ASIS chapter.

Board certified attendees will receive 1 CEU for attending this session. The Board would like to thank Avigilon for sponsoring this event and our hosts at 2 Liberty Place. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
